Rattanaporn Buasaeng   (Post-graduate student, Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Voronezh State Pedagogical University" )

in this article we are talking about the semantics of proverbs with an anthroponymic component of the modern Russian language. The main theoretical approaches to the problem of the study of proverbs are outlined, their main types are singled out. It is shown that proverbs with an anthroponymic component in the modern Russian language are used in the classical form and in the transformed form. The transformation of proverbs is due to social phenomena and is a reflection of modern reality. Transformed proverbs are used for a more precise and expressive description of an event, to attract attention, and to better explain the meaning. Due to modern transformations of proverbs, they are already considered not only as an element of folklore, but are becoming the subject of research in pragmalinguistics, cognitive linguistics, etc. It is concluded that proverbs in the modern Russian language remain in demand and frequently used. They are used both in their original meaning and in a modified one.
