Military topics are now, unfortunately, becoming more and more relevant. The Great Patriotic War claimed the lives of a huge number of Soviet people, Russians, who, as a result, managed not only to protect their homeland, but also to liberate other countries from fascist evil spirits. In modern realities, it is important to nurture and maintain a sense of patriotism among young people, awareness of the importance of world peace, protection of one's family, large or small homeland. The formation and development of patriotic moods and feelings among young people, the need to protect the borders of their homeland, ensuring the peaceful existence of people, love for the motherland, family - these topics are in demand and relevant in the context of modern realities. Military literature in this context is an effective instrument of upbringing the younger generation and the youth. The relevance of the work lies in the need to educate and maintain the patriotic spirit of Russian society, in the importance of eternal values for a quality life, in maintaining the cultural heritage, historical values of one's country. The subject of the research is Russian military literature. The object of the study is the features of the military panoramic novel. The novelty of the work lies in the new, interesting characteristics of the panoramic military novel, showing the features that are relevant in modern realities. The work can be recommended to students, graduate students, teachers, methodologists.
