THE INTERACTION OF PERSONAL AND HISTORICAL IN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL NARRATIVE

Lisova O. O. O.  (Senior Lecturer, St Petersburg State University)

The article is devoted to the analysis of the episode ("Prologue") from the book by A. N. Arkhangelsky "Russian hieroglyph. The story of Inna Lee, told by herself" (2022). The text introduces the reader to the history of a person who is a representative of two cultures (Russian and Chinese) and a direct participant in the most important historical events of the 20th century, in connection with which an interesting problem is raised: how human life is inscribed in history, and history is passed through the prism of human consciousness. The purpose of our study is to highlight linguistic means that allow the reader to evoke the effect of “involvement” in the emotional life of the heroine, especially in episodes when she does not speak directly about emotions and experiences. The central problem of our analysis is the study of the dialogue "personal" and "historical" through its reflection in the syntactic means used by the heroine of the story.
