FUNCTIONAL FEATURES OF THE TRANSLATION OF A LINGUODIDACTIC TEXT: BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

The relevance of studying the functional features of the translation of a linguodidactic text from English into Russian is increasing every year due to the preservation of international contacts in the field of science and education in general and linguodidactics in particular. In the article we turn to the problems associated with the adequate translation of linguodidactic texts from English into Russian, taking into account the equivalent selection of special vocabulary and terminology. This work represents another step in the study of the functional features of the translation of a linguodidactic text, as well as in a comprehensive study of the corresponding terminological system. The purpose of the study is to study the functional features of the translation of a linguodidactic text based on the material of English and Russian languages. The study used methods and techniques for analyzing English-language didactic reference books, contextual analysis of special lexical units, a comparative method, analysis of translation options for special lexical units, as well as our own translation and interpretation of authentic material. As a result, it was established that an adequate translation of a linguo-didactic text serves as a criterion for checking the meanings of didactic terms and the corresponding vocabulary in a special text. The results obtained can be used in courses on the theory and practice of translation, in special courses on the problems of intercultural communication, in developing recommendations for translators for their practical work.
