ETHNIC NARRATIVES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE RHETORIC OF PATRIOTISM IN THE CHINESE-LANGUAGE POLITICAL DISCOURSE

The paper focuses on using ethnic narrative as a tool for implementing the patriotic rhetoric in the Chinese-language political discourse. This paper presents an analysis of two types of ethnic narrative, including the chronotopes of Chinese myths and real national heroes. In addition, the continuity of the patriotic spirit in the Chinese mentality in modern conditions has been revealed. As a result of the analysis, the potential of ethnic narrative in formation of patriotic qualities among the people in the Chinese-language mass media has been substantiated.
