SOCIO-CULTURAL COMPONENT IN ENGLISH TEACHING OF HIGH-SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article considers the problem of updating English teaching in high school to develop socio-cultural competence. The study justifies the need to acquire the competence in question. There is the content analysis of teaching materials, presented in the federal list, that provides both their strong and weak points. According to the results of this analysis, the author offers additional options for studying the socio-cultural aspect within the framework of English classes.
