FORMATION OF LEXICAL AND GRAMMATICAL SKILLS BASED ON LEXICAL APPROACH

The article is devoted to the formation of lexical and grammatical skills based on the lexical approach, which gives priority to lexis. In accordance with this approach, the language is considered to be grammaticalized lexis, not lexicalized grammar. The process of mastering a foreign language is significantly accelerated when, knowing the order of sentence structure, you rely on ready-made blocks. The effectiveness of the lexical approach was tested while teaching first-year cadets how to report when you are on duty. The organization of lexico-grammatical material in special blocks made it possible to clearly demonstrate the structure of the narrative sentence, the changing grammatical form of the verb depending on the person and number, as well as the active vocabulary included in the report of the cadet on duty. The Fisher test proved the statistical significance of differences in the material retention levels of the experimental and control groups (the results of the experimental group noticeably exceed the results of the control group).
