THE ROLE OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH IN THE FORMATION OF THE LAW -ABIDING PERSONALITY OF THE PEASANT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY

Russian Russian Orthodox Church aims to reflect the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the formation of the legal model of behavior of the Russian peasantry. The mechanism of influence of the church on the social consciousness of peasants is considered. The study is based on the peasant community of central and northwestern Russia, where modernization processes took place most intensively and significantly influenced the social structure of the population. The materials of the ethnographic bureau of Prince V.N. Tenishev on the Vladimir and Vologda provinces published in the second half of the XIX century were used as sources for analysis.
