"AND IN GENERAL, THE IDEOLOGY OF THE "MERCHANT" IS NOT PECULIAR TO ME...": CHARACTERISTICS OF THE "LISHENTSEV" – FORMER MERCHANTS OF THE CITY OF CHISTOPOL BASED ON PERSONAL FILES (1920-1930S)

The study of this topic allows us to better understand the processes that took place in the 1920s and 1930s in Russia and the Tatar Republic associated with the phenomenon of "deprivation". The personal files of the former merchants of the county town of Chistopol, deprived of voting rights, are considered. Before the revolution, they were all members of the stock exchange society. Faced with discrimination and having lost the opportunity to work, former traders made repeated unsuccessful attempts to restore their voting rights. The article provides information from sources introduced into scientific circulation for the first time.
