SOME ASPECTS OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE COLOR VOCABULARY IN HISTORICAL AND MILITARY SONGS OF THE KUBAN LINE COSSACKS (USING THE EXAMPLE OF COLOR LEXEMES DENOTING THE LIGHT PART OF THE SPECTRUM)

The purpose of the article is to describe the semantics of color lexemes denoting the light part of the spectrum in historical and military songs of the Kuban line Cossacks. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time the system of folklore color designations based on the regional material of Kuban Cossack songs is considered. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the tokens denoting light colors actualize this ‘own’ and have a positive evaluation. The main meanings realized by these color lexemes in the songs of the Kuban line Cossacks were also described.
