CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF SAMBO

The article is devoted to the study of the theory and practice of applying aspects of Sambo development in the short term. According to the author, the actual sport is acquired, and due to the fact that sambo is developing in two directions: as a combat sport (sports/competitive sambo) and as a means of training personnel for special forces and law enforcement agencies (combat sambo). The author notes that the forces of such a sport as sambo can solve several state-important tasks at once in the interests of ensuring the national security of Russia. The author of the article, briefly touching on the history of sambo, its cultural roots associated with the unique, universal nature of Russian culture, makes an attempt to comprehend the broad prospects of sambo in the modern world, taking into account the large-scale cultural crisis and, at the same time, the possibilities of the era of transition to a post-industrial society. It is emphasized that sambo is a wrestling of a new, modern type, it meets the requirements of modern times, has great achievements in this capacity; this should be taken into account when promoting sambo, analyzing its prospects as a cultural phenomenon that helps people. To further increase attention to the development of SAMBO, as an effective form of physical and patriotic education of young people, new steps are taken every year.
