This article is devoted to introducing the main types of lexical meanings of words in the Chinese language. In all languages, words have lexical meanings, but since the Chinese language is an isolating type of language, there are several features in determining the lexical meaning. Ignorance of such nuances by future sinologists can lead to inaccurate translation, and therefore poorly done work. This is why familiarity with the main types of lexical meanings presented in this article will be useful.
