THE PECULIARITY OF CATEGORIZATION OF SEMI-SUFFIXES DENOTING A PERSON IN CHINESE

The distinguishing of names of persons’ names by profession in the Chinese language different in their complex forms. A special place in Chinese word-formation belongs to the semi-suffixes, in which word structures participate, denoting a person performing some action in society. The relevance of this work is determined by the importance of semi-suffixation for Chinese word-formation and the development of the Chinese language system as a whole, as well as the need to study this phenomenon due to its insufficient theoretical understanding. This article will be useful for those who study the status of semi-suffixes and the formation mechanisms of the meaning of semi-suffixes in Chinese word-formation, in the possibility of using the results obtained in theoretical courses of Lexicology and Stylistics of the Chinese language in teaching practice of Chinese.
