HISTORICAL DISCOURSE ON THE SECRET COMMITTEE

The article analyzes some of the historical sources revealing the existence and the activity of the Secret Committee at the beginning of the reign of Alexander I. Pre-revolutionary historians, based on their ideological views, gave various assessments of reformatory aims of the Committee members. The author's analysis of the sources is given from the perspective of Discourse Studies. It allows to assess them as a multidimensional and variable historical discourse.
