ON THE QUESTION OF THE INDEXALITY OF LINGUISTIC IDEOLOGY

In the article, the author examines the relationship between language and thinking on the example of speech influence realized through ideology. The purpose of this article is to determine the nature of the interdependent relations between language as a symbolic system and ideology, a set of ideas, views and beliefs aimed at the consciousness of individuals. The interrelation of socio-cultural attitudes and speech is substantiated. The author emphasizes the indexality of speech signs and the social environment in which they are generated, since in the process of perceiving the social meaning of a speech unit, the recipient necessarily encounters the contrastivity of linguistic forms (the discrepancy between explicit and implicit meanings) and correlates the variability of these forms with the extralinguistic context. Particular attention is paid to the dynamism of the index links of language and ideology. According to the author, it is she who ensures the effectiveness of the influencing function of ideology. The study is based on the postulates of the Moscow Psycholinguistic School, according to which the primary task of speech communication is not so much the transmission of information as the management of non-speech activity of recipients of texts through speech activity. The relevance of the study is determined by the complex socio-political situation prevailing in the world today.
