Today, social media is a separate means of communication and journalism. This article will examine the methods for analyzing social media in today's environment. The article is devoted to the study of the options for using social media resources by the editorial boards of traditional media outlets. Correspondents of print and electronic publications view social media not only as a platform for communication with target audiences, a resource for finding information sources, a tool for monitoring editorial activities, but also as an object of journalistic research.
