Review and analysis of numerous documents makes it possible to identify the names of patrimonial owners, the time and circumstances of the emergence of new settlements, and judge their class structure. The anthroponymic origin of the names of some villages has also been revealed. The author especially emphasizes that the name of the volost is not connected with the fictitious clan “Kyrgyz”, and puts forward his own version. Votchinniki had different origins, so declaring them representatives of any one clan does not stand up to criticism.
