FEATURES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAINING IN THE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF FIREFIGHTERS

The profession of a firefighter is associated with high levels of stress, risk to life and a constant willingness to engage in emergency situations. Effective functioning in such conditions directly depends on the level of psychological training of specialists. This article discusses the key aspects of the psychological training of firefighters necessary for the successful performance of their professional duties. The author concludes that psychological training plays an important role in the professional activities of firefighters. It includes multidimensional work aimed at developing personal potential, increasing resistance to stress and training effective teamwork. Such aspects of psychological training of firefighters as the development of stress tolerance and the ability to manage one's fear, the development of decision-making skills, the ability to work in a team and the emotional competence of a firefighter are considered. These methods must be adapted to the individual needs and preferences of each firefighter in order to ensure the greatest efficiency and lead to improved stress tolerance within their professional activities. A psychologically trained firefighter is able not only to effectively perform his professional duties, but also to maintain a high level of personal well-being and professional satisfaction.
