A NEW APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM OF IMPAIRED AUDITORY PERCEPTION

Zaitseva Svetlana Alexandrovna  (Graduate student, Moscow City Pedagogical University )

The consequences of impaired auditory perception at an early age can lead to adverse consequences in the linguistic, social, emotional development of the child, and can also determine his future educational success. Developmental disorders that are not identified in early childhood and, therefore, work is not done to eliminate them, can lead not only to failure in learning, but also persist until adulthood. Considering the impairment of auditory perception, domestic researchers correlate it with the concept of “phonemic perception” and, as a consequence, the immaturity of the vocabulary, grammatical structure of speech, and the correct construction of coherent speech. Researchers such as R.E. Levina, T.V. Tumanova, S.N. Shakhovskaya et al. pointed out the lack of phonemic development and auditory perception in children with speech disorders. G.V. wrote about the lack of a sense of rhythm and difficulties in differentiating speech and non-speech sounds. Babina, V.A. Kovshikov et al. A different approach to the study of auditory perception, as well as its disorders among foreign researchers. This article analyzes foreign studies devoted to the problem of impaired auditory perception, as well as the problem of defining the terminology of disorders associated with a deficit in the way the brain analyzes sounds, which lead to impaired auditory perception.
