THE IDEA OF AN AESTHETIC UTOPIA IN M. PRISHVIN'S NOVEL «KASHCHEEVA CHAIN»

Jiang Pingzhe   (graduate student Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow )

The article is devoted to the study of the idea of aesthetic utopia in Mikhail Prishvin's novel «Kashcheeva Chain». The author concludes that in this novel Alpatov's daring escape from «Asia» in childhood, his longing for a forgotten country, curiosity about the «Golden Mountain» reflect the aesthetic utopian concept of Prishvin and show his desire for a new wonderful life. This is considered one of the main ideas of his work. The author tries to show his longing and desire for a better future through utopian ideal spaces and images. And although these utopian ideas are difficult to implement in reality, they are still important revelations for motivating people to a better life and development. The creation of a spiritual utopia and a wonderful new life, which Roman Alpatov aspired to, is, in essence, a kind of eternal truth, goodness and beauty. This is the ideal of a man beyond time, expressing the hero's desire for spiritual values. However, it is impossible to transform life by relying on art alone, since this is an impossible task for art. Therefore, an aesthetic utopia can only be an illusory fantasy. However, the Prishvin utopian scenario has its positive sides. In particular, as a result of his searches, Alpatov achieves reconciliation between his spiritual utopia and the ideals of the state in nature, and with the work of his whole life he created an ideal utopia.
