LINGUISTIC REALISATION OF THE CONCEPT "POLLUTION" IN THE MODERN ENGLISH-LANGUAGE MEDIA TEXT

The article presents the results of the analysis of linguistic means of verbalization of the concept "pollution" in the modern English-language media text. The relevance of the research is due to the reference to the issues of the state of the environment and ecology in linguistic scientific works and in English-language periodicals. During the analysis of the texts of media publications, the following properties of the concept "pollution" verbalized with one-word lexemes and phrases of various structures were revealed: "objects of pollution", "sources of pollution and pollutants", "negative consequences of pollution", "negative attitude to environmental pollution", "pollution control". The research was carried out on the basis of the online version of The Guardian publications from 2021 to 2023.
