Intrinsic changes in the Russian press of the post-soviet period

The article is devoted to important qualitative changes of the periodicals in the post-Soviet period, identifying which by the end of the article the author came to the following conclusions: 1. the print media of modern Russia were the natural successors of Russian traditions of quality journalism, oriented on a wide mass audience; 2. development trends of Russian media have confirmed the importance of print media as a mouthpiece of interests of all society and means of communication unbiased information; Thus, the author concluded that the print media of modern Russia, oriented on a wide mass audience and provides the most objective information, have become the spokesmen of interests of the entire society and leading instruments of formation of public opinion.
