Developing artistic taste in schoolchildren. «Light» and «serious» music in this process

This article deals with some aspects of children's aesthetic education and complex building of fully developed personality. It focuses on the tasks of aesthetic education as well as the role of aesthetic lessons in secondary school. It also considers the place of the teacher as the transmitter of artistic taste in this process and his or her capability to teach to discern not only serious music from «light» one, but also discern base "light music" from music of high quality. And it is also highlighted that the musical education plays the great role in the harmonious development of personality.
