Training in Economic Translation at nonlinguistic higher schools: translating nonequivalent lexical items

The development and expansion of international business and contacts have brought the need for translating a large amount of economic information. Training in economic translation at nonlinguistic higher school has become an important and urgent task. The training process is aimed at mastering practical skills of translation, for this reason, the paper considers such issues as translation quality criteria, distinguishing features of economic texts, and error sources in the completed translation. In addition, the paper suggests effective strategies for translating nonequivalent lexical items as well as practical recommendations on translation.
