Theoretical and methodological bases student of the workshop for the study of medieval culture of Egypt

The article analyses various methods of organizing and conducting student seminar, as one of the important components of student-centered education in the context of the activity approach, contributing to the ongoing dialogue, the development of critical thinking and optimal group interaction among students, as one of the objectives of modern education. The author in detail about the structural-functional, semiotic method, simulation, mental (analytical) methods of organization of students ' seminar, as the most optimal from the point of view of conducting seminars with students in high school with the purpose of in-depth study of the culture of medieval Egypt. The seminar, being independent, multi-purpose form of training provides an opportunity not only to deepen theoretical knowledge of the fundamentals of the subject, but also to help digest the most difficult, not in some cases, controversial issues, which in large amounts presented in the historical Sciences in General and cultural history of medieval Egypt in particular. Seminar learning system contributes to the concretization of the previously obtained theoretical knowledge, formation of skills to carry out fruitful independent work and development of skills as direct speeches to the audience, and the collective discussions of the scientific results obtained by the student in the course of the research, followed by evaluation of their significance. The author of the article identified some weaknesses of this methodology, the knowledge of which will help to avoid a number of possible errors in the immediate preparation for the seminar. As well as the benefits of this method in studying the culture of medieval Egypt. Thus, the article may have a practical application when conducting training and workshop for students and teachers.
