Formation of the system of professional development of teachers in the RSFSR in 1922-1930

The proposed article, based on documentary sources and statistical in-formation, presents the main stages in the formation of the system of re-training and advanced training of teachers in the RSFSR in the 1920s, shows the main directions of the work of the People's Commissariat of Education of the RSFSR in this field, the forms of organization and con-tent of the courses for retraining and advanced training of regional and all-republic levels. In addition, a short excursion to the pre-revolutionary pe-riod of the dissemination of pedagogical courses on raising the level of professional skills will allow us to see both continuity of traditions and new ideas in the development of courses.
