The history of national relations: the German colonists in the Kuban

The article analyzes and assesses the historical events associated with the resettlement of the Germans in the Kuban. For more than half a century the material is the analysis of the relations between the authorities and agricultural societies of immigrants from Germany. The author comes to the conclusion that from the very beginning of their appearance in this region was associated with the national tasks of agriculture and economic development. Change of moods and tasks of government change, sometimes dramatically, living conditions and activities of the colonists. Examines the stages since the beginning of the relocation and establishment of the first «columns» of the Germans and until the early 30-ies of XX century. When the state policy of support of the colonists were finally phased out. Special attention is paid to the role of local authorities in the life and activities of the agricultural colonies. The obtained data can serve as an additional source of information on the socio-economic development of the Kuban during the second half of XIX – 30s of XX centuries.
