Some features of the academic style speech (at the example of the English language)

The article deals with academic style features of speech at an example of the English language as one of the basic means of the international academic dialogue. The academic style extends to all sublanguages of science and technology: humanitarian, natural and technical, which are combined in a formal and logical way to present scientific and technical ideas.
