The topic of the East in the works of Sergey Esenin: on the material of the cycle "Persian motives"

The article is devoted to the study of the theme of the East in the work of the great Russian poet Sergei Esenin. To the forefront are various aspects that attract Esenin to the East, tying it to eastern poetry and culture. The author notes the interest of Azerbaijani amateurs of poetry, which consists in the fact that they devoted about 100 poems to Esenin about the theme of the East. The article examines the place and role of the cycle of poems "Persian Motives" created in the Caucasus, including during the three-time stay of the poet in Azerbaijan, from September 1924 to September 1925, in the works of Esenin.
