Modern features of the economy of the Kanin peninsula nomadic population (Arkhangelsk region)

The article is devoted to the study of the transformations traditional nature management of the of the Arkhangelsk regions nomadic population at the turn of the 20th - 21st centuries. The work separately examines the changes that occurred in the main sectors of the economy Nenets and Komi-Izhemtsy: reindeer herding, hunting and fishing. The key factor that influenced the changes in nature management in the twentieth century was the reorganization of reindeer husbandry and the concentration of the industry within collective farms and, later, in agricultural cooperatives. It is this circumstance that led to a change in the role of reindeer herding, hunting and fishing and to structural changes in the system of nomadic economy as a whole.
