Historical aspects of everyday life patterns: rhetoric of sorrow in the northern Caucasus’ culture

The purpose of the article is to study the elements of everyday events, which are knocked out of its ordinary, monotonous series - behavioral practices in a mourning ritual. The research emphasis is put on the ritual lamentations and emotional experience of bereavement. Analysis of elements of mourning ritual and wailing has made it possible to understand the attitude by Caucasian population towards the value of individual human life. The research discovers the mental particularities of ethnic consciousness, way of life, behavior, and it allows of seeing in the rites and rituals related to a man’s death the nuances of historical epoch, social system, and cultural features of the society. All that can be called in turn the most important elements of the everyday life history.
