The forms of popularization of the movement for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage with the use of information and communication technologies in the environment of the younger generation are considered. Examples of individual stages in the development of children's and youth town protection units of the Republic of Tatarstan with the definition of the characteristic features of this process are used.
