Pedagogical conditions of university students’ research activity formation

The analysis of the concept of research activity formation in higher education is presented. The pedagogical conditions which ensure the effectiveness of the formation of this type of activity are identified. A number of problems in the field of students’ research activity formation are examined, such as: the lack of basic knowledge, skills and abilities for carrying out the research work of first-year students; poor motivation of students to implement the research activity; problems of adaptation of students to study at a university. Practical methods for introducing research activity into the educational process of first-year students by the inclusion of a number of pedagogical conditions are systematized. Based on the analysis of research opportunities and the results of experimental work, the ways of improving the process of students' research activity formation are indicated.
