Temporal peculiarities of modal verbs’ usage in the modern English language

The article is devoted to the research considering the relations’ specificity of the category of modality and temporality in the modern English language. The category of aspect closely connected with Tense forms is also considered in this article. We should underline that modality as the speaker’s expression his attitude towards the reality plays an important role in the definition of Tense and aspect’s meaning of the whole sentence. The analysis of modal verbs’ functioning in the English language in the relationship with the category of temporality finds out the limitation of their Tense forms; different means of basic modality types’ rendering; temporal features’ changing of modal verbs in terms of semantics and the forms of infinitive playing the role of the complement; special interaction of modality and the Future Tense which includes as the temporal component as the subjective opinion of the speaker and so on.
