Argumentation as one of the development factors of communicative competence in the foreign language lesson

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of argumentation and the teaching of the reasoned speech of students learning a foreign language as a means of developing communicative competence. The authors presented ways to involve students in a reasoned statement and provide examples of tasks that prepare for reasoned speech. The presented method of teaching a reasoned statement in the process of forming communicative competence develops ideas about how to improve the quality of teaching, taking into account the orientation on the student’s personality.
