Genre and stylistic features of scientific texts

This article is devoted to the study of the main characteristics of the scientific text. Scientific style is an information space of functioning of scientific speech genres. The main function of speech genres of scientific style is informative. The General content of the function of scientific style is defined as an explanation, which includes the consolidation of the process of cognition and storage of knowledge, obtaining new knowledge, the transfer of special information. Genre is considered as a set of rules for creating text, under which the finished text has the necessary features.
