Semantics of a term on the example of the terminology of photonic crystals

The article analyzes several approaches to the analysis of the semantics of the term. Based on this analysis, three types of terms were identified, using the example of each type of terms, it was explained what role the internal form of the term plays for its functioning inside the term system and outside. It is also concluded that the internal form of the term plays a key role in the semantic structure of the term and thanks to it the term can fully realize its pragmatic potential.
