Psychological and pedagogical features of formation of citizenship of the cossack youth

The article presents the results of a theoretical generalization of the pedagogical experience of forming the citizenship of Cossack youth. The process of formation of citizenship is based on the principles of active participation of youth in the activities of public associations, forms civic knowledge and personality traits of young people, affects the formation of their civic consciousness. The process of forming citizenship is carried out in a certain educational system of a public association. The main function of the educational system for the formation of citizenship of Cossack youth is a semantic function based on the development in the mind of a young Cossack of the ability to give personal meaning to his behavior, to be free to choose his actions, guided by the spiritual and moral values of the Cossack culture and universal values.
