Professionally-oriented simulations as a means of methodological competence development of future foreign languages teachers

The article deals with the technology and peculiarities of using professionally-oriented simulations at classes of methodological block with bachelor-students. Very often theoretical knowledge of methods of teaching is not enough for the formation of future teachers’ methodological competence. For giving practical orientation and more thorough training it is suggested that professionally-oriented simulations should be practiced at seminars and methodologically-centered elective courses. The simulations let the students immerse themselves in the professional atmosphere, improve communicative and methodological competence, develop professionally-important qualities. In the article step-by-step description of the professionally-oriented simulations technology for fourth-year students is presented. After practicing simulations, the students felt more confident during their trainee teaching, could easily adapt to different pupils and the conditions of school environment, methodological competence was formed at a high level.
