The problem of structural typology of abbreviation

This article discusses the problems of the structural typology of abbreviations; analyzes and compares the traditional classification represented by two types of abbreviations (initial and compound abbreviations) with other classifications; an attempt is made to analyze the problems associated with the typology of abbreviations.
