Applying the case-method in Russian folk pedagogy

Izmailova Alla Borisovna  (Candidate of pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor, Vladimir state University named after A.G. and N.G. Stoletov)

The article considers the use of the case-method for the analysis and resolution of pedagogical situations in the tradition of Russian folk pedagogy. An analysis of the literature on the use of case-method revealed a lack of specific recommendations. This situation makes it difficult to use the case-method for pedagogical purposes, especially in the process of teaching students of a pedagogical university. In this regard, the author has developed a scheme for analyzing pedagogical situations, which ensures the effective use of the case-method. The scheme involves searching for answers to the questions contained in it and provides an evidence-based solution to pedagogical situations. The definition of the existing vices and missing virtues in an educate provides a solution to the pedagogical situation in the pedagogical field. An example of the analysis of the pedagogical situation using the case-method according to the scheme proposed by the author is presented. Russian folk tale as a source and means of Russian folk pedagogy was used as an example for the consideration of the pedagogical situation.

Keywords:the resolution of pedagogical situations in Russian folk pedagogy, the scheme of analysis of pedagogical situations, methods and means of Russian folk pedagogy, virtues and vices in moral education, the use of the case-method in the classroom at a pedagogical university.
