"Comparative characteristics of the Russian university charters in the XIX century" (source study and historiographic aspects of the problem)

This article attempts to give a brief comparative and comparative description of Russian universities in the 19th century. The sources of this study are university charters of 1804, 1835, 1863, 1884, which are part of the "Complete collection of laws of the Russian Empire", regulatory documents of the Ministry of Public Education of the Russian Empire, documents of Russian universities, memoirs, journalistic materials. The analysis of the source base is given. The points of view on the investigated problem in the special literature are presented.
