The history of the formation and development of foreign and domestic pediatrics

The article is devoted to the history of the formation and development of one of the most important branches of medicine – the history of pediatrics. Pediatrics as an independent scientific discipline about childhood diseases began to form in the XIX century. The history of medicine and pediatrics in its development has gone a long way at all stages of historical development. The main task of pediatrics is to preserve or return to the child's state of health in case of illness, allowing him to fully realize his innate potential of life. It is concluded that one of the most important problems of society was a very strong early mortality of children. Therefore, the protection of motherhood and childhood has always been a priority task of any nation and state.
