Neologism in headlines television programs

Nguyen BaDuy   (Postgraduate, The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute)

This article discusses neologisms in the role of television headlines. The emergence of new neologisms is a change in vocabulary, which reflects updates not only in the state of society, but also in the state of consciousness and thinking of a person. Depending on the method of formation, both common and contextual neologisms can be: derivational and semantically derivative. Neologisms that function as headlines for television programs are also created on the basis of lexical units and affix means available in the language (prefixes and suffixes, or borrowed words, or by forming a complex compound name). The group of word-forming motivated neologisms also includes compound words formed on the basis of foreign and Russian words (or parts thereof). The emergence of new neologisms in the field of television is one of the important processes in the development of television speech (television vocabulary). The problem of neologisms in television programs is of interest not only to the viewer, but also to linguists or native speakers, since changes in the field of vocabulary are interconnected with changes in social, political and economic life. Television neologism is a functional new formation that serves a specific purpose, responding to the demands of new phenomena and requirements in the field of television.
