An integrated approach to the study of the communicative behavior of the discursive personality of the US presidential candidate (on the material of the texts of the genre of election debates D. Trump)

This paper presents an analysis of the communicative behavior of the discursive personality of the US presidential candidate on the material of the texts of the genre of pre-election debates of D. Trump in the framework of cognitive, axiological linguistics, psycholinguistics. The relevance of the work lies in an integrated approach to the study of the discursive personality of D. Trump in situations of political communication. This study used methods of linguistic analysis, the method of discourse analysis, the method of qualitative analysis, which characterizes the typical communicative actions of the US presidential candidate on the example of Donald Trump, the representative of the Republican Party. The axiological characteristics of the discursive personality, tone of D. Trump's communicative behavior, typical tactics of communicative behavior of the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party were established. The portrait of the discursive personality of Donald Trump, a candidate for the US presidency, which is manifested in non-verbal means: prosodic means, phonation characteristics, sign language, facial expressions; verbal means: a specific set of speech strategies and tactics, language structures.
