Study of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the transformation of meaningful approaches in the system of physical education education

The article attempts to comprehend the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on physical education education at a university. It is noted that such global phenomena as a pandemic serve as an "exciting" factor that affects people's daily lives. The consequences of limiting the living space of people turned out to be a difficult period for many. Falling out of the habitual pastime sharply raised the question of the survival of each person in conditions when the source of energy turned out to be the person himself. The result of a natural or comparative experiment was a statement of the fact of the inability of young people to organize the process of physical development on their own, without relying on an imperative external authority. It is emphasized that the traditional model of teaching physical culture at school and at the university does not contribute to the development and consolidation in the minds of young people of the skills of rational exploitation of their natural potential. An infantile shift of responsibility for physical development, delegated voluntarily to a coach or teacher, leads to the loss of a person's ability to enjoy possession and satisfy basic needs. This inability, called "agedonism", becomes the source of the development of depressive illnesses and social tragedies, both at the individual and collective level. The consequences of the pandemic should become a factor through which it is possible to reform the content of the subject in the educational space of the university.
