Modern trends in the training of physicists-metrologists on the basis of higher education

Metrology is divided into three areas (theoretical, applied and legislative), which determines the need for professional engineering and scientific training of specialists in applied physics and metrology, and also indicates that there are many prospects for young professionals who choose this area. The importance of the activity of physicists-metrologists increases during the period of transition to market relations, which are associated with competition between manufacturers, that is, with increasing requirements for the quality and degree of reliability of devices and systems. The main role is given to metrologists to assess the quality of products and their compliance with established requirements. Modern trends in the training of specialists in applied physics and metrology help them not only find a job, but also apply knowledge and skills for scientific activities to implement the developments and provisions of applied physics and metrology.
