METHODOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES AS A WAY TO ACTIVATE STUDENTS' LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN GEOGRAPHY LESSONS

Intensifying the educational activities of students has been and remains one of the eternal problems of pedagogy. Communication skills, the ability to model situations, gain experience in dialogue, discussions, and engage in creative activities are becoming increasingly important in life. At the same time, there is a decrease in interest in learning and intellectual passivity. This explains the teacher’s special attention to the use of methods and techniques that require active mental activity, with the help of which the ability to compare, generalize, see a problem, form a hypothesis, look for solutions, and correct the results is formed. Purpose - based on the analysis of methodological and pedagogical literature, select and systematize methodological techniques for enhancing the educational activities of students in geography lessons. Methodology of work: Many scientists are studying the problems of intensifying educational activities. Domestic psychology and pedagogy have accumulated considerable experience in the field of theory on this issue. The problematic issues of activity are multidimensional and multifaceted, as evidenced by the analysis of the works of V.I. Druzhinina, E.V. Korotaeva, A.M. Matyushkina, I.F. Kharlamova, T.I. Shamova, G.I. Shchukina and others. I.F. Kharlamov, however, there are not so many scientific works that reveal the implementation of methodological techniques for intensifying educational activities in geography lessons, it can be said that this is not enough. Results: The practical significance lies in the possibility of using selected methodological techniques to intensify the educational activities of students in a geography course and replicate the results obtained.
