FORMATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE STATE APPARATUS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF MONUMENTS OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF RYAZAN AND THE RYAZAN REGION DURING THE FORMATION OF SOVIET POWER

This article deals with the research and preservation of various monuments of architecture, culture and folk life in Ryazan and the Ryazan region. It states which organisations concerned with this matter existed in the area during the first years of the Soviet period. There is information on the history of such organisations, their key aims and tasks and most important activities, including publishing. A certain part of the article is focused on the outstanding members of such organisations: archaeologists, local historians and ethnographers.
