EDUCATION OF REGIONAL PARTY AND SOVIET LEADERS IN THE RSFSR IN THE 1930S (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE EUROPEAN NORTH OF RUSSIA)

The article examines the educational level of regional leaders of Soviet Russia in the 1930s. Workers of the staff of the committees of the CPSU (b) and executive committees of Councils of different levels of government of such administrative-territorial entities as the Northern Krai (1929-1936), the Northern region (1936-1937), the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions (since 1937) were selected as the object of study. The study was conducted on the basis of the involvement of archival and published sources. Within the framework of the publication, the features of the personnel composition of the party-Soviet apparatus from the point of view of the educational level are shown, the trends of the evolution of the education of party and Soviet workers in the conditions of socialist modernization of the 1930s are traced.
